PROMOTING ANIMAL WELFARE IN WAYNE COUNTYYOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE |
Goal: $40,000
Because of your support, we are busy removing and replacing the current inefficient fencing and incorporating the three additional play yards, along with adding a separate fenced in play area specifically designated for the dogs as they newly arrive at the shelter! By meeting our $40,000 goal, we can provide the shelter with a total of six play spaces for the dogs. Each separate play space will also provide an extra area where volunteers can spend one-on-one time with the dog. Thank you for supporting this important project!
Socialization:
Socialization for shelter dogs is crucial for the dogs' physical and mental well-being.
Exercise:
Provides much needed aerobic exercise to keep them healthy and more relaxed while in their kennel. The play yards will also be equipped with access to new objects, such as agility equipment, ramps, pools.
Opportunity to Express Normal Behaviors:
Normal behaviors such as running, digging, playing, sniffing, and exploring provides important stimulation that will help them when they find their new home.
Stimulation of All 5 Senses:
Provides outdoor environmental stimulation of all five of their senses, which is very enriching to a dog.
