PROMOTING ANIMAL WELFARE IN WAYNE COUNTY

YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Our Mission & Values

Wayne County PAWS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization, whose core mission is to provide support to the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. Our goal is to accomplish this through volunteerism, fundraising efforts and educational training opportunities, along with raising awareness of the necessities for the shelter and shelter animals. We are an all-volunteer organization who have a passion, and desire to assist the shelter in providing above standard care and compassion to each animal who arrives at the shelter.

Wayne County PAWS is a newly formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide support for the stray dogs of Wayne County. Our organization believes in the work that the Wayne County Shelter is providing to our communities, and will work alongside the shelter to assist in the care and well-being of the dogs in our area.

Visit our Ways To Help Page for more details on how you can support our work!

Our Vision Statement

PAWS vision is to support, promote, and enhance the services provided by the Wayne County Dog Shelter. PAWS assists in providing the highest level of care both physically and mentally to dogs in Wayne County, works to reduce the stray dog population through spay and neuter initiatives, and provides educational and training opportunities to the staff and public alike.

To accomplish these goals PAWS will volunteer, promote, and fundraise for the efforts of the Wayne County Dog Shelter. Funds will be raised to implement and continually operate a spay and neuter program, increase care provided to animals, and provide training to the Dog Shelter employees above and beyond basic requirements.
