Our Mission & Values | Wayne County PAWS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization, whose core mission is to provide support to the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. Our goal is to accomplish this through volunteerism, fundraising efforts and educational training opportunities, along with raising awareness of the necessities for the shelter and shelter animals. We are an all-volunteer organization who have a passion, and desire to assist the shelter in providing above standard care and compassion to each animal who arrives at the shelter. Wayne County PAWS is a newly formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide support for the stray dogs of Wayne County. Our organization believes in the work that the Wayne County Shelter is providing to our communities, and will work alongside the shelter to assist in the care and well-being of the dogs in our area. Our Vision StatementPAWS vision is to support, promote, and enhance the services provided by the Wayne County Dog Shelter. PAWS assists in providing the highest level of care both physically and mentally to dogs in Wayne County, works to reduce the stray dog population through spay and neuter initiatives, and provides educational and training opportunities to the staff and public alike. |
The members of our board of directors are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to our society. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
